TOURNAMENT CENTRAL: GOLDEN EAGLES TO HOST NCAA DII ATLANTIC REGION TOURNAMENT

CHARLESTON, W. Va. – University of Charleston is the host site for the 2021 NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Championship, and the host Golden Eagles will be the No. 5 seed in the five-team field.

The NCAA selected Charleston and the Welch Athletic Complex as the host site for the first time in program history. The tournament will run from Thursday, May 27, through Sunday, May 30.

The Atlantic Regional will be a five-team tournament that produces the region's representative at the NCAA Division II National Championship. The teams competing in order of their seed includes Seton Hill, Millersville University, West Virginia State, Bloomsburg University, and University of Charleston.

ADMISSION/SPECTATOR POLICY 
The cost of admission is $5 per person and free for children under the age of two.  Facility maximum of 250 individuals will be admitted.  All spectators will receive a temperature screening and must complete a COVID questionnaire prior to admittance.  The $5 admission fee is for each game and there are no tournament passes.  At the completion of each game, the facility will be vacated before the spectators of the following game are permitted entry.  All spectators must enter and exit the facility at the main entrance. 

PARKING 
Teams that come to campus for COVID testing and batting practice may park their buses in front of the Innovation Center.  The team will be drop off at the side gate closest to the NiSource parking lot.  The buses will then enter the NiSource parking lot to park the bus nearest to the field.  There will be signs to assist. 

All spectaors will park on campus in the Brotherton parking lot and walk to the field.  Again, there will be signage to provide assistance.  All administrators, game officials and handicap parking will be located next to the field and clearly marked. 

CONCESSIONS
Concessions will be available, opening one hour before the first contest each day of the tournament. 

APPAREL
Due to COVID-19 policies there will be no onsite merchandise sales. NCAA Championship merchandise may be purchased online at ncaa.com
